The organizing committees of the 11th World Congress of Endoscopic
Surgery encourage young researchers who submit original abstracts for free
paper (oral or poster presentations) and who need financial assistance
to attend the meeting to apply for a YIA.

Criteria
| 1. | Applicants must be students, clinical research residents or pre/post doctoral trainees. Applicants must be under the age of 40 at the time of application. There is no restriction on nationality for applicants. |
| 2. | An applicant must be a first author of an abstract. |
| 3. | The abstracts for applying for this award should be written in English. |
| 4. | A travel grant of JP\50,000 (about US$500) will be awarded in appreciation of participation by the 11th World Congress of Endoscopic Surgery after the meeting. A maximum of 50 people will be awarded. |
| 5. | The applicants must go through the application procedure for registration for the congress and complete the payment. |
| 6. | It is the applicant's responsibility to obtain the necessary visa for entering Japan prior to the congress. |
Deadline for abstract submission has been extended to the Noon (JST), April 15, 2008.
